About me	A 71-year-old Pakistani female with a history of long-term chronic depression and low motivation, who also experiences ongoing pain-related health conditions. She requires the support of a Personal Assistant (PA) to assist with daily living tasks and to promote her overall wellbeing. The role will involve providing practical and emotional support to help maintain independence, improve mood, and enhance quality of life.
Hours and rate of pay	Rate of Pay: Meets NMW Hours: 16 hours per week- Each PA to work 8 hours each Working pattern: 5–6 days per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support as required. The person I would like…	We are seeking a Pakistani female support worker who has a strong understanding of Pakistani culture and is able to communicate effectively in Urdu or Mirpuri/Pahari, as the client does not speak English. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the care sector, particularly supporting individuals experiencing low mood, depression, or a lack of motivation. A compassionate and patient approach is essential. Applicants should preferably hold a valid DBS check, a full driving licence, and have access to a vehicle, as the role involves accompanying the client on outings to help improve mood and engagement. The role also includes supporting the client with culturally appropriate meal preparation, such as cooking curries and chapattis, to meet their dietary needs. What you would be doing…	Supporting E to build on his independence from his mum, broadening his interests and encouraging him to socialize with other young people in a supportive and structured environment.
Required skills and experience	Someone who has experience of supporting others with ASD with a knowledge of the challenges the condition can bring. E can at times put himself on the floor and repeatedly bang his head, it is important you learn triggers for this behaviour and the distraction methods needed to keep him safe. I will need washing put on, dried and ironed. I may also need help with forms, appointments being made, or cancelling for me. I am looking for a PA to also drive me to medical appointments, allowing for my mobility scooter to be put in the car (it does come apart in three pieces). When my fatigue allows, I would like to attend socialising groups, go out for lunch or have a hot chocolate. Hours and rate of Pay	Casual hours mainly in school holidays up to 79 hours available paid at £12.50 per hour. There may be more hours needed in spring and summer and at least once a month in winter. Enhanced DBS clearance is essential for this role.
What you would be doing…	Accompanying S and his family while accessing community activities and places of interest.
