| About the Direct Payment Holder | The client is a nearly 5-year-old autistic, non-verbal boy. He is a happy, energetic child who enjoys soft play, the park, trampolining and a variety of sensory activities. He benefits from a calm, patient person who can support him with play transitions, emotional regulation and understanding his non-verbal communication cues. |
| Hours and rate of pay | Saturdays: 2–3 hours per week
Half term holidays: Monday to Friday, approximately 3 hours per day |

Right to Work and references will be needed. |
| Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety

| What you would be doing… |
Supporting the child during play and sensory activities Helping with emotional regulation and transitions Nappy changing and personal care as needed Providing supervision and reassurance at home and in the community Adapting activities to the child’s developmental level Ensuring outings are safe, enjoyable and sensory-appropriate

| Required skills and experience | The ideal Carer will be patient, caring and reliable, with experience or a good understanding of supporting young autistic children. They should be calm, gentle and able to communicate effectively with a non-verbal child by following his cues. The Carer must feel confident providing personal care, including nappy changing, and be able to offer consistent supervision. Someone who can adapt activities to his developmental needs, keep him safe and help make outings enjoyable would be an excellent fit.
