The client is an 8-year-old boy who is neurodiverse and has been diagnosed with autism. He has sensory needs and requires support with social communication and interaction. He is shy and reserved and benefits from calm, one-to-one support. He enjoys active, fun, and engaging activities and needs encouragement to build confidence and develop social skills within the community.

Days: 1 day per week, preferably Saturdays

Rate of Pay: £18.92 per hour

Right to Work and references will be needed.

The Personal Assistant (PA) will support Josiah by taking him out into the community to engage in fun, interactive, and confidence-building activities. These may include swimming, rock climbing, trampolining, and other age-appropriate social activities. The focus of the role is to help Josiah develop social skills, independence, and positive experiences in community settings.
There are no personal care tasks involved in this role.

Experience or knowledge of working with children with additional needs (including autism)

A valid First Aid qualification

Patient, friendly, and understanding approach

Active and enthusiastic, with an interest in fun and engaging activities

Male PA preferred
