| About the Direct Payment Holder | A young lady with Down Syndrome is seeking a social companion to support her with accessing the community and encouraging independence.
The young lady enjoys reading, Strictly Come Dancing, visiting the cinema and theatre and many other activities. |
| Hours and rate of pay hours | 6 hours per week – Tuesday 9am-3pm |
| Location | Flamstead (AL3) |
| DBS/Checks | Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed. |
| Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety

| What you would be doing… | There are no specific care requirements but activities will include things like shopping trips, cinema visits, possible theatre visit if timing allows, getting out and active, developing conversational skills and social interactions. |
| Required skills and experience | Seeking someone who is patient, laid back and friendly. Someone who is able to engage and encourage the young lady to be more active and has a genuine interest in supporting someone to lead as much of an independent life as they can.
Due to location there is limited public transport and as such a car will be essential for this role.
Must be comfortable around pets. |
