| About the Direct Payment Holder | A happy and energetic 6-year-old boy living in Hoddesdon is looking for a calm, reliable, and loving Personal Assistant to provide support at home and in the community. He is preverbal, has sensory needs, and requires constant adult supervision to ensure his safety, as he is at risk of eloping. |
| Hours and rate of pay | Hours: 2 hours per week (during term time), 4 hours per week (school holidays)
Days: Currently 1 day per week (Tuesday or Wednesday), with some Sundays in the near future

| Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Children • Introduction to first aid / Paediatric first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling

| What you would be doing… |
Accompanying to swimming lessons, soft play centres, or music lessons Providing constant supervision to ensure safety Encouraging play, engagement, and enjoyment in activities Supporting communication through verbal, visual, or eye contact prompts

| Required skills and experience | Experience working with children with autism or additional needs
Autism awareness/training desirable First Aid trained Patient, calm, and consistent, while also being fun and energetic Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to a child who is preverbal but understands when instructions are repeated or shown visually
