A sociable and engaging 14-year-old boy with a rare genetic condition called PACS1 is looking for a friendly, patient, and dependable Personal Assistant (PA) to support him with social outings and companionship. He attends a specialist school, and while he has limited speech and language, he communicates well in his own way and enjoys spending time with others. |
| Hours and rate of pay | 2 hours per week during term time, increasing to 4 hours per week during school holidays |

Right to Work and references will be needed. |
| Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Children • Introduction to first aid / Paediatric first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling

| What you would be doing… |
Take the young person out into the community – e.g., cinema, shopping, or local activities Be a positive companion and provide engaging interaction No personal care or hoisting required |
| Required skills and experience | Driver with own vehicle and business insurance (essential)
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), will also consider working with young children and early years.
