A Personal Assistant is required to support a 24-year-old man in the St Albans (AL1) area. He is autistic, experiences anxiety, and is working towards greater independence. He’s a friendly, motivated individual with a deep passion for climbing, and his long-term goal is to qualify as a climbing instructor. He is looking for someone who can be a companion and mentor, not a babysitter, someone to enjoy shared activities with, while helping to build independence and communication skills in a relaxed, respectful way.

| Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:

Accompanying him to climbing centres and outdoor activities Supporting involvement in active hobbies such as biking, ice skating, or drone flying Helping to develop communication skills through natural conversation and gentle guidance Supporting the development of independent living skills, including planning and organising daily tasks Building a trusting relationship that feels more like a friendship than formal care Encouraging confidence, self-awareness, and respectful social interaction
