About the Direct Payment Holder | Seeking a kind, patient, and professional Personal Assistant (PA) to support a young man with severe autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges. He is calm and cheerful but can occasionally become frustrated due to his special needs. |
Hours and rate of pay | 10 hours per week during term times, with more hours available during school holidays. £12 per hour (to be confirmed). |

Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling

What you would be doing… | Assisting with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry to improve daily living skills.
Taking the client out into the community for activities such as shopping or social outings. Engaging in activities at home to support development and provide companionship. Ensuring the client’s physical safety and mental well-being at all times, especially when outside the home. |
Required skills and experience |
A female PA is preferred. Preferably has experience working with individuals with special needs, particularly autism, though this is not a strict requirement. Must be able to effectively communicate with someone who has limited communication abilities. Must have a valid driving license and access to a car. Kind, patient, and professional demeanour, with a serious approach to providing care and support. This advert complies with the Sex Discrimination Act (1975) Section 7 (2b).
