About the Direct Payment Holder | A 29-year-old neurodivergent female, primarily housebound and living with chronic fatigue syndrome and Chronic Migraine, is seeking a kind, reliable, and conscientious female PA. The client is an ambulatory wheelchair user with significant energy limitations, requiring support with daily living and household tasks. |
Hours and rate of pay | 14 hours per week (2-3 hours per day, Monday-Saturday). Preferably dinnertime (evening).
£15 per hour (PAYE) or £18.02 per hour (self-employed). |

Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling

What you would be doing… | Personal Assistance:
Picking up prescriptions, sending parcels, and running errands such as grocery shopping. Loading and unloading wheelchairs from the client’s car (may involve lifting 15-25kg). Household Tasks: Making the bed, tidying the client’s room, and cleaning the personal bathroom. Laundry – putting on loads, hanging up clothes to dry, and putting away clean laundry. Kitchen duties – preparing dinner, cleaning the kitchen afterward, and washing/putting away dishes. Companionship: Providing a supportive, kind, and understanding presence during the client’s daily routine.

Required skills and experience | Kind, patient, and genuinely interested in access and disability equity.
Experienced as a PA, carer, or nurse (preferred but not essential). Able to lift and manage wheelchair equipment (15-25kg). Someone who enjoys cooking is a bonus. Comfortable in a household with a cat (non-smokers only). Applicants who are neurodivergent, disabled, queer, or from the global majority are especially encouraged to apply.
