About the Direct Payment Holder  

A 46-year-old female living with Fibromyalgia, depression, and ADHD is seeking a female Personal Assistant who is patient, compassionate, and non-judgemental. Trust is very important to the client due to her experiences, and she is looking for someone who can provide long-term, reliable support. She is a bubbly and happy spirit with a good sense of humour but is also emotional and sensitive at times.

The client has a 5-year-old autistic son, so the PA will also assist with light childcare when needed, particularly when the client is in pain or resting due to medication.

 

Hours and rate of pay £18.02 per hour (self-employed) / £14.80 per hour (employed PAYE)

Flexible, 5-8 hours per day (minimum 5 days a week, including occasional weekends). Flexibility required for longer hours in emergencies.

DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

Training Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:

• Safeguarding Adults

• Introduction to first aid

• Health and Safety

 

What you would be doing…  

Providing daily companionship and emotional support.

Helping with light housekeeping, including hoovering, washing up, laundry, and meal preparation for lunch and dinner.

Assisting with childcare, including school pick-ups and providing supervision when the client is unwell.

Supporting with weekly shopping and general errands.

Assisting with paperwork and staying organised.

Accompanying the client to outings, including appointments, social activities, gym visits, or walks, once a routine is in place.

Being flexible with hours and responsive to the client’s changing needs.

Required skills and experience Must be able to drive and either use their own car or be willing to join the client’s insurance.

Patient, compassionate, and non-judgemental.

Reliable, organised, and able to take initiative.

Flexible with working hours and days.

Comfortable with supporting a client with ADHD and Fibromyalgia.

Experienced in assisting with light childcare
