We believe that bringing disabled people and business together will change the conversation from one of disadvantage and inequality to one about potential and value.
Purple offer a number of services to help disabled people either find work or recruit carers, including Purple Match our online Personal Assistant matching service, Purple Works our pre-employment program designed to get disabled people and people with long-term health conditions or mental health conditions closer to the workplace as well as our specialist recruitment agency designed to match disabled people who have an identified set of skills seeking work with employers with vacancies requiring the same skills.
If your social worker has assessed that you need care and support, you will be allocated an amount of money to pay for services to meet those needs. This amount of money is called your personal budget. The best way to meet your needs will be written up in your support plan.
Employing personal assistants (PA’s) / carers can improve your independence significantly – you can choose who you want to support you, the tasks they need to do, and when you need them. Purple know that it can also be quite daunting but good information and advice can really make a positive difference.
