Welcome to my blog. As Chief Executive Officer of Purple the blog is a way for me to provide more detail, and a personal perspective, on key disability issues; from current national policy positions to the work going on within our organisation.

At Purple, we want to change the disability conversation to one of value and opportunity, rather than seeing the world through the traditional lens of welfare and paternal support.

To change the conversation, we need an increasing number of people to be vocal. From disabled people, to businesses through to policy makers and other stakeholders.

My aim of this blog is to stimulate debate and conversation – and will complement the other activities undertaken by Purple.

I hope you will agree with some of the points I make, be constructive where you think there are differences of opinions, and probably most importantly it will act as a catalyst for you to go out and be part of changing the conversation.
